If you are visiting Quebec and enjoy the lifestyle of golfing, you will not want to miss the Royal Montreal Golf Course. Aside from the rich past that soaks this place with meaningful history, there are golf courses that you will never forget. Here we will look at a brief history of the Royal Montreal Golf Course as well as some information about the courses you will find here.
History
The Royal Montreal Golf Course was founded in 1873 when eight men also formed the Montreal Golf Club. The Club moved a few times, in 1896 it moved to Dixie in the parish of Dorval. Now you can find the Queen of Angels Academy for Girls at the Dixie clubhouse location.
In 1959 the Club moved to Ile Blizard and 45 holes were made, where they still stand and are very highly ranked among the golf courses of the world.
Most recently, in 2007, Royal Montreal hosted the Presidents Cup. During this event, the best non-European players of the world competed in an international team against the top 12 PGA tour players in the United States. There is really no end to the rich history of the Royal Montreal Golf Course!
The Courses
The Blue Course
The Blue Course is challenging and requires that you are not a beginner in order to succeed at it. The greens are tiered and have been since the course was renovated in 2004 by Rees Jones. The 14th hole was the most popular during the President's Cup making it a great place for new memories and great golf successes.
The Blue Course is by far the most famous and well-known at the Royal Montreal Golf Course. The other holes are still wonderful golfing opportunities, which we will discuss here.
The Red Course
This course is a wonderful challenge for golf players who want to test their accuracy. The greens are smaller and close together, making them a great test of accuracy.
The Dixie Course
The Dixie Course is the finest choice for the beginner players. Whether they are young or elderly, they can find this course to be a wonderful test for developing their new skills. While golfing, it is important to always find a course that you feel comfortable with, especially if you are beginning. If you happen to be a master golfer but want to bring along a person who is newer at the game, this would be a great place to go. You can test your skills on the challenging courses while they can feel good about themselves by succeeding at the Dixie Course.
Canada is home to many famous and glorious golf courses. The Royal Montreal Golf Club is a great place to go when you like to experience your golfing alongside a rich historical presence. It is a great place to go for all of these reasons, especially if you have someone with you who wants an easier course as well since it has a little something for everyone.

A Golf Holiday on La Torre Golf Resort Is a Golfers Dream Break!
La Torre golf resort is a fantastic place for a golf holiday in Spain.
La Torre is the second resort to be completed by Polaris World and, like the other Polaris World golf resorts, is built around a Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf course. La Torre also features a driving range and golf practice facilities, and a fully stocked pro shop with knowledgeable staff.
The resort offers many different types of accommodation options including various styles of villa, duplex townhouses and an array of luxurious apartments. No matter what type of accommodation you choose, you will not be very far from one of the many communal swimming pools - indeed if you choose a villa you may even have your own!
Also, the whole La Torre complex is enclosed in a secure perimeter fence with gated security - reassuring if you have children in your party.
You don't have to be a golfer though to enjoy a holiday on La Torre - it is also ideal for family holidays. There is a wonderful "Town Centre" within which you will find many bars and restaurants, an internet lounge and an on-site bank. Near the resort entrance you will find a large fully stocked supermarket.
The recently opened 5 Star Intercontinental Hotel is a place of relaxation and luxury offering spa treatments and fine dining. Other restaurants and bars on La Torre include La Encine (Club House), The Clover (Irish themed) Pub, The Wood House Bar, El Roble (Tapas Bar), and La Acacia (Italian restaurant).
La Torre is also just one of the golf courses that make up the "Nicklaus Golf Trail" in the area. The others being on Mar Menor resort, Hacienda Riquelme resort, Condado de Alhama resort and El Valle resort which was also home to the 2011 Senior Spanish Open. And the good news is that if you stay on any of these Polaris World resorts you are free to play any of the courses on the Niclaus Trail.
You are also not far at all from the wonderful beaches of the Costa Calida, including the Mar Menor ("little sea")which is a huge salty lagoon and one of the best places in Europe for all kinds of water sports.
So if you are considering a golf holiday in Spain then La Torre (or one of the other Polaris World resorts) should be one place on your list of possible destinations!

Looking for the Perfect Father's Day Gift for the Golf Dad?
Do you happen to need some Father's Day golf gift ideas? I always do! So I've compiled a list of what I have come to know as some of the best.
If your Dad is like my Dad, he doesn't feel good or happy if I spend too much money on him. So these days, I really try to find a unique gift that my Dad and Grandfather will enjoy but doesn't make them uncomfortable that I've spent too much money on their gift.
With that in mind, I've done some research. I find out that the new hottest market this year for father's Day gifts are Mobile Phone Apps. My Dad has an iphone and he rarely downloads his own mobile phone apps, however he always seems to enjoy when other people show them theirs. I found several Golf GPS apps for the iphone that I enjoyed and I know my Dad will enjoy as well.
If golf is your dad's thing, then there are plenty of small gifts someone can buy him that don't break the bank. Golf tees, golf balls and clubs are always in need. You can buy a replacement set of screw-in spikes if his are worn down. Or for the dad who likes to stop by the 19th hole with his buddies, buy him a gift certificate to the country club restaurant or bar. Dad can even enjoy a cold drink or a burger after a long day on the course. Those are all great gifts... but Dad can enjoy a Golf App for his iPhone all year long! I investigated a few different ones and here is what I found:
There are a number of iPhone apps that rely on course gps info (to various points of interests, such as hazards, front, center, back of green) from a central database. Three of these apps offer a scorecard and some stats tracking. Some apps are designed NOT to have a score card feature or GPS database to avoid being in their competitive market space and lose focus on what makes the app unique and really cool (interactive map for golfers, getting distances, club selection feedback, and the best part the app takes into account the weather!)
The result? The golfer can use their favorite scorecard app and easily switch over from their scorecard app to their GPS app whenever necessary for additional feedback to enhance their game and make it more enjoyable. There is no perfect app that covers everything, and golfers always have more than one golf app on their iPhone.
Most golf apps don't get much use after they are downloaded. They are cool at first but then collect virtual dust and never get used. Look for an app that golfers find very useful past the first week of download. Weather is always changing (creating different shot situations) and there is one certain new app can be used on and off the course in fun ways, taking into account wind and weather. Usine a good app can cause your golf game to grow (by getting to know distances better, develop better course strategies) and be enriched by the app (build knowledge for different shot situations, weather situations). How about an iPhone app that figures distance, and then picks the right club...taking into account wind and weather!
Dad will have a great time with something like that...and if nothing else, he will impress his friends by the thoughtfulness of his loved one caring enough to gift him with this very cool iphone app for Father's Day!!!

The community itself was created around a unique system of canals built back in the 1960's by Kim McArthur. Your dog envisioned, with a series of canals, a community whereby its residents can have direct access to the inter-coastal waterway. With 1987, that club at Admirals Cove opened, providing an 18 hole championship golf course layout, named the Eastern course, and then 12 months later the 27 hole golf course named golf village was opened. Admirals Cove has always been Jupiter's premier waterfront neighborhood. Located on the western side of the Intracoastal Waterway these homes have direct ocean access in the Jupiter Inlet to your north. The community is divided relating to the East and West sides in the community with the east side about the yachting lifestyle.
The most crucial clubhouse on the Eastern side, has 34 guest rooms, fitness center and spa, tennis courts, cusine rooms, pool and marina and is the hub of that club lifestyle here. The 74 slip marina houses yachts and their managers who spend the winters straight down here. Since the ocean is indeed close, many yachting residents slip out the Jupiter Inlet for a little dawn fishing for sailfish, although I hear many wahoo are now being caught right now.
That West side, known as Golf Village is about the golfing lifestyle and the architectural style of the clubhouse and residences is decidedly distinct from the East side.
The Jupiter location is situated between Jonathan's Landing to the north and The Ritz-Carlton and the Bear's Club to the south and right on the Intracoastal Waterway.
As associated with January 18, there are 101 homes for sale in Admirals Cove. Drilling into the data some we get the highest price is usd 13, 995, 000 for a waterfront home on Skull cap Drive of over fifteen, 000 square feet. The bottom price is $ 249, 950 to get a waterfront condo on Captains Manner of about 2, 000.
